Immich V2 Upgrade to V3
So i have had a update on my Immich Server to upgrade to V3, I run my Immich Server in Synology Container manager.
Looking over the documents for the upgrade it seems straight forward so here goes nothing.
Before we start backup all your data, I use Synology Hyperbackup for this.
Step 1
Login to your DSM and Head over to you Container manager.
Side note this is a test bed for most of my projects, The errors are from other projects im working on.
Step 2
Select Projects and locate your Immich project.
Step 3
Press your right mouse button and select stop.
This Will stop all the IMMICH project.
Step 4
Now we have stopped the IMMICH project, time to get to work on upgrading the project.

Load up Text editor
Step 6
Goto Docker / Project / immich folder
Step 7
Drag and drop the .ENV file onto text editor
Step 8
All you need todo is change V2 to V3 like below
IMMICH_VERSION=v3Then save and Exit Text editor.
Step 9
Head back over to Container manager where your project will still be down
Step 10
Now right mouse button on the project and select clean. this will take out version 2
Close the terminal window.
Step 11
Right mouse button on the project again and select Build.
It is important that you select build and not start.
could be time for a coffee while you wait.
complete download and build now onto Step 12.
Step 12
Close the Terminal window.
and you should have a green light next to your project.
Select Immich Project and all should be ok like mine
But has it worked

Fire up your webpage and see if you have a Server online. We have success. as you can see above
I have tested this on a dummy project and my very own setup both updated and installed no prblem.
Final Thoughts.
The Development team here have done a amazing job making everything so simple, If your looking for a image and video program to replace Synology photo this is the one for you. I have only been using Immich for 1 month and the software has everything i need and more as i use it more.
This whole process took about 15 Minutes and that includes making a coffee.
